2.2. Location and flight data

The application may collect geographic location and flight-related data when a user enables tracking in the application or when an equipped aircraft transmits its data.

3. Account creation and management

Registration is required to access certain features. Your first name, last name and email address are used in particular to identify you, administer your account and provide access to the services available to you.

Additional information may be requested when it is necessary to provide a specific service or comply with an applicable requirement.

4. Use of location data

4.1. Purpose

Location data makes it possible to detect and analyse the different phases of a flight, manage flight history and maintain a digital flight log.

4.2. Manual activation

When the mobile application is used as a tracker, the user enables location tracking before the flight. Recording continues until the user disables it.

4.3. On-board device

When a Click & Take off device is installed in an aircraft, it may operate autonomously. The aircraft manager is responsible for its activation, use and compliance with applicable regulations.

4.4. Restricted use

Location data is not used for targeted advertising or commercial profiling.

5. Purposes of processing

Data may be used to:

• create, manage and secure user accounts;
• provide the platform’s features;
• record, display and analyse flights;
• produce flight histories, statistics, alerts and reports offered by the service;
• synchronise data with a third-party tool at the request of the relevant manager;
• respond to requests and improve the service;
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

6. Data sharing

Personal data is not sold to third parties. It is only disclosed when necessary to operate, host or secure the service, comply with a legal obligation, or provide an integration requested by the customer or aircraft manager.

Flight data may in particular be synchronised with third-party flight management software at the explicit request of the relevant manager.

7. Data retention

Data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the service, manage the account and fulfil the purposes described in this policy, unless a different period is required or permitted by applicable law.

8. Security

Click & Take off implements reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect data against unauthorised access, disclosure, loss, alteration or destruction.

As no system can guarantee absolute security, these measures are adapted and reviewed according to risk and changes to the service.

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and, where the relevant conditions are met, data portability.

You can also change location permissions at any time in the application and device settings.
